I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
